The Society’s highest level of professional recognition, the ASID National Awards celebrate the people, companies, and work proving the power of design impacts lives. The National Awards shine a spotlight on those who are making a difference in the world through their talent, drive, and commitment to bettering humanity through design.
Awards are presented in four categories designed to honor all facets of design and contributions to the industry and beyond:
Celebrating the achievement of an interior designer who exemplifies a commitment to design excellence as demonstrated by a significant, high-quality body of design work that has advanced the profession.
Commending an individual or organization that has harnessed design to improve the greater good with far-reaching activities.
Recognizing an original and noteworthy product, project, service or initiative with high potential to positively impact the interior design profession.
Honoring an individual or organization for advancing the interior design profession through outstanding education, advocacy, research or promotion.
These categories encompass all responsible for design excellence. They can recognize a body of work -- giving the opportunity to highlight a person, company or program who has been consistently striving to innovate and forge new paths in the design world -- or a specific exemplary project or product innovation from an institution, corporation or patron.
All National Awards descriptions, eligibility, and criteria have been updated for 2021 to clarify the intent of each award and who should apply. Eligibility has also been aligned to ASID criteria for chapter and national volunteer leadership.
