The ASID Student Chapter Awards (SCA) recognize achievement among ASID student chapters and the leaders who enrich the ASID student member experience. Chapters may enter the SCA in two categories: ASID Student Chapter of the Year and ASID Student Volunteer of the Year.

ASID Student Chapter of the Year
The ASID Student Chapter of the Year award proves that team work makes the dream work, honoring chapters who came together to have an impact on their program or on campus. Share your goals, journey and outcomes and highlight your awesome achievements to our jury!
ASID Student Volunteer of the Year
The ASID Student Volunteer of the Year recognizes a student leader who has had an outstanding impact on their chapter. We want to honor your diligence and dedication! Show off the impressive effects of your hard work and share how you’ve helped your chapter over the past year.
For each award, a jury of leading designers and national volunteers will examine how each student and chapter has made a difference. Winners will be honored by the jury and their peers at SCALE 2022!

Finalists and winners are distinguished at SCALE: The ASID National Student Summit with access to exclusive events and networking opportunities. Beyond SCALE, the Student Chapter Awards are a great way to boost your resume for future design programs or employers and show your passion and dedication to the profession.
National Media Exposure
Enjoy the spotlight! As an SCA winner, your dedication to ASID will generate a buzz. Through outreach and social media engagement, ASID will be proud to share the news of your accomplishments with the ASID community and beyond. Finalists and winners will also be given social media graphics to promote to their own networks. Finalists and winners will be featured on the ASID website, further exposing you to our broad membership of interior design leaders.
Scholarship Funds
Student Volunteer of the Year winners receive $500 for their dedication and hard work, and Student Chapter of the Year winners receive $1000 to enhance the greatness of their student chapters.
Access to Design Leaders
Through your presence as a winner at SCALE, you will have access to incredible networking opportunities to your future mentors, colleagues and peers. You will also receive exclusive Student Chapter Leadership Training to help you continue to take your chapter on a successful journey. The Student Chapter Leadership Training also helps you expand your participation in future ASID events and conferences.
Discounted Access to SCALE
Finalists and winners receive discounted registration for SCALE (not including travel and accommodation).
- Student Chapter of the Year – Receives up to two (2) discounted registrations.
- Student Volunteer of the Year – Receives one (1) discounted registration.
Eligibility

All applicants must be an active ASID member.

All applicants must have served in a volunteer role to the Society within the past year or be currently serving the Society.
